The voltage regulator is an autotransformer with continuously adjustable turns ratio. When the voltage regulator brushes slide along the polished surface of the coil by means of the handwheel spindle and brush holder, the turns ratio can be continuously changed. And the output voltage is smoothly adjusted from zero to the highest position.
Unit structure: 0.5KVA to 10KVA regulators feature a unit structure where a coil with a polished surface is fixed on the base. The rotating hand wheel drives the brush to slide on the smooth surface for precise regulation.
Single phase assembly: Large capacity units are assembled from multiple identical units. Brush contacts are assembled on the same main shaft with coils connected in parallel to balance current distribution.
Brush structure: Units below 3KVA use graphite brushes and metal frames for heat dissipation; 4KVA and above use copper graphite composite brushes for enhanced durability and performance.
